I’ll be at the Acumatica User Group gathering in Southern California (Irvine) on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 to present on Anomaly Detection in Acumatica Generic Inquiries.
See you there?
Even though I took AP Statistics in High School and majored in Applied Mathematics at UCLA, I’m not a fan of “math for the sake of math”. Show me why it matters in the real-world!
So I’ll be using a real-world example to show how Anomaly Detection in Acumatica Generic Inquiries can be used to improve your company’s profitability.
I’m also looking forward to the AI presentation from Mahmoud Abou Sabaa.
Thank you Abra Gilman and Roman Ozerskiy for inviting me.
Sincerely,
Tim Rodman, (CPA-Inactive)

Thank you TRAILD for booking a nice room in Irvine, California yesterday and buying everyone lunch for the Power BI Workshop on using Acumatica and Power BI together.
We started at 10:00am and some people stayed as late as 3:00pm so we had a good amount of time to get through the 10 pages of class exercises.
I’d love do hear any feedback from Joe Morris, Rosa Covarrubias, Ralph Torres, Andrew Hagenbach, Ted Rhee, Bryan Sterling, and Abdul McWhorter (all pictured below) about how you liked it (or didn’t like it).
Funny story about Bryan, I got his RSVP email less than an hour before we started. Then, when I met him, he told me that he was on the Acumatica Community site that morning looking for a solution to a Power BI problem. That’s when he saw that Ralph had posted about this gathering in the SoCal User Group forum (thanks Ralph). So he decided to come. And, I think we were able to solve his Power BI problem. Please correct me if I got the story wrong Bryan 😀
Now I’ve given this Power BI Workshop on using Acumatica and Power BI together in 3 locations:
Lancaster, Pennsylvania (thanks Laura Carpenter for the original idea)
Atlanta, Georgia (thanks Salina Patel and Debbie Baldwin for inviting me)
Irvine, California (an ad-hoc, last-minute experiment)
I’ve made some tweaks to the material and am feeling confident enough to bring this to 20 target cities in the United States over the next 12 months.
Are there any Acumatica Customers out there with a room large enough to host this workshop for 15-20 people?
